I responded but didn't see it anywhere so I'll try again.

I tried edibles because I dont smoke but have had to use opiates for major back problems, spinal fusion, nerve damage etc and I hate opiates-the side effects and the way they make me feel. So, I wanted to see if they helped with the pain since I hear that all the time.

Not sure if I tried the wrong kind/strain/whatever but I hated them. The pain was better but I was extremely paranoid and felt like I was tripping for 6 hours. Not pleasant at all. I don't knock people who do use it but it's not really for me at all.

He's done expedited and driven for 10 hours/day and is fine. He loves driving. His injury prevents him from lifting heavy things repeatedly and as long as he's not lifting he's fine.

There are labs that you can go to and have a test done and see for yourself in advance exactly how it is done and get the results so you will know in advance if this is going to be an issue for you (him) or not.

Pain is essentially a nerve signal to the mind OW. The Mind runs on what is called Receptors in the body looking for pain. They can be imagined as a cloud of rain drops with specific plugs on each drop, millions of them inside of you chemically.

Opiates plug those receptors. Your mind generates more receptors to make you feel the ow. Eventually enough Narcotic is on board to cover all the receptors your mind is building and shipping to your body to stay in contact with it. When it does, you are passed out or asleep etc no pain at all.

The problem is after the third day, take away the opiates (Surgery etc) so that you don't get addicted. If you do long term and abuse it, your brain's entire chemistry becomes a single goal oriented machine. More drugs please. You literally become oversensitive to input. Light, Sound, Feeling hot, colt, unable to regulate your blood pressure, temperature etc etc in really bad cases your automatic heart and lung timers quit working right and you are dead. Everything is regulated by the mind, provided that everything is in balance including the body's pain owie system. Drugs take that away.

Unfortunately certain persons need that drug to not deal with life. And they descend into hell. You cannot save them all.

Pot is not my flavor. Ive had a little bit in my time long ago. But it's not for me. ugh. Believe it or not, I was a drinker. I got that stopped cold turkey. Several times a year for a holiday dinner I'll take a glass of something. But that's about as far as it goes. Stress? HA. A 5th of something takes care of that. But eventually it almost took care of me pernamently. I laugh at stress now. I simply don't acknowledge it. Ive been stressed so much several times in trucking that it literally does not bother me anymore. I tried medicine once a few years ago to experiement (Xanax) and quit cold turkey.

Anyway... that's my two cents worth on pain.

Regarding the hair... Wait 6 to 9 months it will be out of you. Me? I'll have to wait over a year because I have been a pain patient on powerful medicine over 10 years day and night. The fact that I feel normal and function properly on those levels of opiates show a powerful tolerance. That is a advantage. I withdraw early each month for about 8 days in total so that I really get sharp and reset for next month's round. I enjoy being sharp. (My receptors reset in 4 days and nights) The pain is irrevelant to me. It takes alot more than that, think breaker bar pushed by a 10K pound coil busting me in the ribs to fall 5 feet off the flatbed to hurt me.

Fast back the past, many companies failed in time when the books finally burned. Or simply ran out of numbers gaming etc. One in particular almost ran my parents off on the last drop to the Conowingo Dam on US1 many years ago at well over 100. His Top CEO and President on down the leadership was eventually taken into court on egregious charges of all kinds related to really dirty trucking. We celebrated.

We are still celebrating to this day. Many of my fly by night outfits buried themselves as well and no longer exist. Might as well move on. You wont believe what is possible in the back room of a shady carrier.

Is your husband still using prescription pain pills? If so he can;t pass a urine test unless he uses over-the-counter stuff.

No, I think he was given pain medication in the hospital for a very short time almost 6 months ago but hasnt taken anything since. From what I understand he can provide documentation since it was legally prescribed and administered so it shouldn't be a problem.
