shaggy has the best comments. while you are under your truck andything loose or has a possibility for looking like it could fall of would be a dot fail on inspection. it is better to spend the time under your truck fixing it your self than paying to have it done or getting stuck on the side of the road. i am also a tech for a quick lube joint but have always worked on family rigs you dont need a certification to know your own truck. most of the quick lube joints have kids just trying to make a buck, but some of them take pride in making there cutomers happy if you deside to try one ask around and see who people recommend and its not the store that they will tell you about it should be the guy that did the work and made them happy. good luck with the O/O i hope to be there my self someday.
