    Most guys believe your better off with a tractor and dump trailer or belt trailer vs a straight dump truck 10 wheeler or tri-axle or super dump whatever.....

    With a tractor and dump trailer you can drop the trailer and pull a flat or van , with the dump truck if there’s no work for it your screwed.......

    I agree a tandem axle fifth wheel truck is the most versatile unit to own and allows you to be the most adaptable. A dedicated unit is not the best idea for a owner operator

    Everything we do could be done in a day cab but hell will freeze over 1st before i run one....maybe a spare truck
