I picked up a vibration yesterday. Crawled all over the truck in a dirt lot last night and came to the conclusion of a bad leveling valve (won't hold a consistent height). well after 500 miles today it seems to be more clear what the problem is. Drove it into the 24 hour shop in grand forks. Off to the driveshaft shop in the morning.

It's entirely possible a bad levelling valve threw driveline angles off .. if you suspect it's bad get them to check it out to be safe

The guys did a good job. 3 joints, slip joint boot, carrier Bearing, new yolk and balance. Removed and installed in the snow for $1250.00.

Not to bad in my book. 6pm start and out by 3pm the next day.

Fork truck and trailer repair. In East Grand Forks MN.

Back in the 70s, I lost trans cooler line out in the middle of no where. I by passed the cooler, but I had lost most of the tranny fluid.

    What to do?

Well I had a couple hundred gallons of good old fashion high sulfur, slippery diesel fuel. Problem solved, in it went. Couple hundred miles later, drained it out, filled it with oil and ran it for years.
