Got a new tool box. The corners are just but welded so I cut and welded a brace on all 4 corners. My other one I put on last year is cracked already.
singlescrewshaker and Ruthless Thank this. -
I put on 2 new trailer tires and moved the best 2 to the front. Acid washed the Shiznit out of the trailer around the tires and box. Going to do the same thing tomarow with 2 more new tires.

Well I bought 8 used 22.5 low pros on wheels in exchange for my 24.5 wheels and tires last October. The tires were perty hagered when I got them. Lots of meat but shoulders rounded off and flat spots. They were 2013 tires too.
I did tear up the other one but I wasn’t doing anything I haven’t done a thousand times. So who knows?
Could be a abusive driver and I am changing some of my habits already. I have a dump valve and a lift axle on my want list too.singlescrewshaker, Oxbow and Ruthless Thank this. -
Then you can go from fixing tires to fixing trailer frames.

Well you asked for it? I’ll give you what I do and did. The first thing is to have your expectations in the right place. Your not going to make 18 year old Midwest fuel tanks look new. Better,,,,, yes! If you have some nasty pitted wheels I suggest buying new if you want the polished look. You can get a deal on TPR wheels through Paccar deLers got $180.00 each.
I polished 3 old nasty wheels last year . I have almost 2 full days in them and they are still rough. The pits you don’t get out with sanding will start corrosion very soon. Below are some pics of those wheels.
If your wheel looks like this buy new polished wheels. This is after 1 major sanding and polishing. Then a touch up this year.
Look in the top left of the pic you can still see all the piting. Those pits trap dirt and start corroding very easy. I still have those 3 wheels showing and they will pass from 50 ft but up close you can see it.
So rule number 1 is have your expectations set right or you will be disappointed!!!singlescrewshaker, Oxbow and rank Thank this.
