That’s why I’m going to an inboard fixed 5th wheel. So much easier to keep clean and remove to clean.
I’ve never moved my 5th wheel in the 4 years I’ve had it so, slider really not nessasary.
New or old asked again

I’m curious how it rides loaded. If it had any front end bounce before. I’m guessing it won’t have any now. Looks great. Like a 300” W.B. But still maneuverable. Looks like I’ll be checking my frame under fifth wheel slider this summer, instead of just swapping the wheel out. Rust never crossed my mind.

Finally rounded up a used 5th wheel mount. It’s all cleaned up underneath and painted.

Getting mud flaps and fenders installed. None of the brackets from the old set up worked on the new one, so starting from scratch again. Fortunately I had a set of mounting brackets from an old set of mud flaps I never used.
