I drove for an 11 yarder for cemex for 3 years.

No one counts your mixer experience as OTR or combination vehicle experience.

Well plenty long enough, don't you have a buddy that you pulled for a couple of years?
I will say, even with insurance, especially for a start up MC, it will be next to impossible to have it for a hobby truck, you will have to run it.

I mean to buy something to fix up over a period then put to work, I want to get out of the Concrete industry I've done enough 15 hour days with 8 hour beaks. I know that my Mixer experience doesn't count for combination. Which i always thought was a little ridiculous.

I'm not trying to cheat or take a shortcut to the big bucks, when I first got my CDL i was going to go otr with melton but had such a horrible experience in orientation ( i am not going to be talked to like im a piece of garbage) I swore I would never drive for a mega if I could help it.
I bring up my Driving experiance to show that im not just someone fresh out of driving school wanting to be a 0/0

Your concrete truck experience does not count with a mega, but you are not wanting to go with one anyway. You just might be surprised how much it would count with gravel companies, as you have learned how to keep a truck together off the pavement, which is a huge deal, when they need a driver.
Have you talked to any of the smaller companies running end or belly dumps about just a driving job? Sometimes some of them have ways to work around some insurance requirements to get your foot in the door pulling a trailer.

Another place is smaller construction companies that have their own lowboy, and gravel trucks, some times construction companies have different requirements.
