Exactly. This is this PREMIUM I speak of!

After a few years active authority, most guys try to be in that $7500-$12500 a year.

    Lepton1 Thanks this.

That’s true and I was lucky enough to have some money saved for my business I quit and opened my own authority so I will hopefully have great change in insurance in the next few years

Have you been successful in finding loads and operating under your own authority?

I’m seeing that all new authorities have trouble getting insurance regardless of the experience of the driver. Is this pretty much the case or am I misunderstanding? How are you expected to start your authority and get insurance so that it can be active and mature, if you can’t get insurance on it because it isn’t mature...

This is great to see a success story like yours! Congrats man!

I want to stay a company driver, but I hope I can have great success like you've obviously had in this industry. I just gotta get a plan together and stick with it.

Hi y'all! First post here and thank for the informative thread. Anyone have some updated info for 2020 in regards to what companies would take on an inexperienced driver with own truck? Thanks in advance for your knowledge.
