I'm about to order a new truck and was wondering if the new navigation system is any good or if you would prefer a standalone unit?

So far so good. It has truck profile section so you can get routing for hazmat and oversize stuff too.

In my 2016 it sucks. Freezes up after a short time if I have a destination programmed. About the only thing that screen is good for is reading the odd check engine light code. I'd rather have a CD player and more gauges. And a cable and insite to read any faults.

I don't know. I just use it for music. I'd still rather have more dash space for a pyro, turbo boost, rear axle temps, fuel restriction gauges.

    Ya, 6 digital gauges,
A 2nd transmission temp gauge (have a mechanical already)
Boost gauge - what ecm thinks boost is
Dpf filter gauge - always reads 0
    Throttle % gauge
Mpg gauge - also available in clock menu on other screen
Oil temp gauge - have a mechanical already

No option to switch what it shows
    Pretty much useless

Should be pretty good. They’re using CoPilot Truck which I use on a tablet. I go to a lot of places trucks don’t normally tread and it’s the only one of the four or five I’ve tried over the years that won’t navigate you into a bad situation. Not perfect but you should always check suggested routing from a gps against a map anyhow.

Can I add more gauges to the screen? I want to add a fuel restriction gauge but don’t have room on the dash for it.
