Well maybe in a couple of weeks when that big trucker money starts coming in I can probably afford a 40 dollar piece of $#!t instead of a twenty dollar one!

There are rules for truck drivers I didn't know that they should publish them in a book.

There is the 'rest of the story' If they (big gov) are going to make rules for the road they should also include everyone, cars, trucks, busses, motorcycles, vans, taxi's And all emergency response units.
LOL when was the last time you saw a cop using his or her bluetooth, did they have the computer turned on in their car, or the gps?? -
LEO's using Blue-Tooth? If there are some, it is strictly on a voluntary basis, especially for any small, rural agencies. Back when I was a LEO, there were no cellphones, we were issued Motorola Text Pagers. Dispatch would send sensitive information via the pagers. That was back in 2003. Now they all just use their cellphones', text messaging.
Some agencies use computers to receive dispatches in lieu of radio, even though the radio freq is encoded (scrambled).
LEOs have, are, will continue to be exempt from such laws and regulations. To do some of the thankless tasks they are charged with doing, they must be. However I have always held, that any sort of text messages, from the old Pagers, to the current phones and computers, is very dangerous to read, while driving, I don't care if you're a LEO, CMV driver, or John Q Citizen.
Now for handset cellphones, I think that LEOs should also be required to use Blue-Tooth devices. I've seen them running hot, speeds of 100+ mph, while holding a phone to their ear. Run down the interstate at 100+ and have a car pull out to pass another in front of you. I have, and thank the good Lord, I had both hands on the steering wheel. I've hit the median at 55mph numerous times to turn on a violator, but that's like creeping into it, after hitting it at 95 to 100mph. No crash, no damage, managed to get the car back on the road, and on to the call (and hoped that no one noticed how my trousers gathered between my cheeks).
It's not the technology, it's the idiot using it, and we all know "you can't regulate or legislate stupidity"
