New (potential) Broker Question

first of all thanks for your service, and you most certainly can do it from home without all the face to face visits. for the amount of phone calls you can make in a day you couldn't visit them in a year. So plan on getting the straight out NO!! from shippers but just keep plugging away you can have customers coast to coast. While i'm an o/o I do have a very good friend who is a broker and its phone,phone,phone then e-mail, e-mail,email then repeat lol when you get yourself situated look me up and lets make some money Bill

I agree 100% with what is said above.

I am a sub-agent with Ted Keyes from Logistic Dynamics, INC
He takes new people and "trains" them. He will get you set up and rolling. Granted he takes 50% of the commission, but it cost you nothing to start, and once you start making money you can transfer to another company (no noncompete clause) or stay on, because as you make more profit your % goes up.

I have been working with him for about 3 months and I regularly move about 4-5 loads a week and am bringing in about 1000-1500 every 2 weeks. I should also mention that I work hard about 10 hours a week and have my cell handy about 40-50 hours a week (but am taking care of my 3 year old and spending time with my family). You will get calls at 0300 and 2300. Answer them those drivers are eager to run.

Ted has a open call every Tuesday at 1400 (Pacific) and anyone is allowed to join. He also posts these calls to his website, but the call usually has 20-30 minutes of Q&A that are not on the podcast.
