What was your average per mile? How many miles total did you drive like including deadhead. taking home 2200 means you were averaging about 2 bucks a mile for the week is not more.

Of the about 2700 miles about 375 of them were deadhead. My average was not above $2 a mile for the week, but as far as rates go it was an exceptional week. My costs are about 85 cents a mile to run the truck in a week that I run 2700 miles, mainly thanks to slowing down, and watching my fuel economy.
Also, for the record, I did get a fuel tax rebate this week of a little under $100 that was included in the $2200 figure. I would have had that this week had I run 0 miles. -
Sazook is not pulling your leg. I have had weeks like that too lately. Last two weeks were only $1745 and $1635 though. Not $2200, but not bad. Anybody who says you can't make good money leasing at Prime is full of it... of course, situations vary. You have to have a good FM, and have to be able to manage your time and clock well... and be willing to run hard.

2000 miles a week is pathetic, I guess if you are using YOUR miles situation with my numbers.
More like my average is in around 2800 when running solo.. Some weeks over 3k miles. I've had some 3500 mile loads that ate up my clock for the week doing 55 mph... Usually loads coming out of my house in WA.. Going to FL or The N.East... Typically apples, pears, cherries or frozen fish.
I've had quite a few 3k plus mile weeks that didn't involve a single trip/cross country.
Hmmm... I think I will keep the extra .042/ mile fuel bonus I received for getting 8.66 mpg last week...
BTW, I'm training right now running team miles... So I have to give up
25% of that bonus to the trainee, but at 5800 some miles, I made an extra 180 some dollars.
The only way I can imagine squeezing in another load consistently, by going faster, is if every shipper and reciever did away with appointments and went with a first come first served operation model, or every one of my loads is a drop n hook.
That ain't happening, and even some of our drops won't let us drop more than 24hrs early. And, not many of our meat loads are even close to being hooked near the beginning of a 1 to 2 day open pick up window. -
Figured, it's the "Rolling Roadblock" 55mph which is a very tough thing to do but hey I appreciate the response sir!
Keep up the good MPG and don't be to hard on the newbie (aka; step missing). -
Just doing their part to constipate America's highways!

please, if that was the case prime would nt have half their trucks sitting around and security throwing people of their property trying to get jobs there

If you're talking about the tractors parked at the south end of the trailer yard in Springfield, those are part of a "pre-buy" to lock in engines made without the 2010 emissions requirements. Those are brand-new tractors waiting to be assigned to new drivers. There are some older machines being reconditioned before return to Freightliner and Peterbilt near the washbays on the north end of the propoerty. Other than that, those are tractors assigned to drivers who are in Springfield for whatever reason.

Is that 200 including all deductions taken out? Every up to your taxes and all?
-
Its a straight cash advance - since you're not an employee its not payroll - no taxes or deductions. Once you're on the books its treated as a straight deduction from your payroll. At least that's MY understanding of it.
