I fully understand and comply with PPE. I have both steel toe and non-steel toe over the ankle shoes/boots. My feet just sweat tremendously in them, so given my own options, I prefer a breathable hiking shoe/boot. I have no problem complying with company policies, both in and out of view of those enforcing policy. Companies normally have had some sort of negative experience to feel the need of certain policies whether I understand and like them or not, so I suck it up and comply without complaint. Some may label me a company shrill for doing such, but I don't care. If a company is going to be my bread and butter, I am going to do what is expected of me.
I have taken enough business classes to see things from a business owner's/CEO's point of view instead of someone with just a J.O.B. (Just Over Broke).
Quite possibly, the added support of over the ankle footwear, not only provides added protection, but also the prevention of lower extremity fatigue.

Thanks for the spelling lesson.
Looks like the two of us have a similar background. I was always on the darkside of the table though. LOL
I know where SNI is coming from as well. Most PPE's are really common sense. We all know it it's rare and not common though.

It didn't take long for me to get my letter once I did the drug test. How long has it been for you?

I did my urinalysis and hair sample this past Friday, Apr 30. The clinic told me the results should be in completely by the end of this week. I thought I would call the recruiter about Thursday to see if the had received them yet.

That's a good idea I bet they will have the results by then. We were trying to wait my 6 months to do it all over again but for some reason miles haven't been there for hubby out of De Moines terminal so we are kind of forced to go with another carrier that prehired us which is Hogan. We go May 31. We wanted to give Schneider notice of hubby resigning. If things go well we will stay with Hogan. Really wanted to go with Schneider. They treat drivers with respect.

I am a late bloomer as well....so I concur that I was eating scraps from that side of the table for many years. Once I was able to see the larger picture, it made life so much easier. I am trying to teach the "big picture" to my 17 year old...I would rather just beat my head against a cinder block wall.

I am sorry to hear about your husband's miles. I hope Hogan works out for you both and that you two will be able to come back to SNI if you all so desire.
It is good to hear about being treated as a person by the SNI staff. That goes a long way in my book. -
Thanks.
I take it your issues are under control now? Hope so for ya.
If so, give SNI a call, and see if something can't be worked out. It couldn't hurt.

Oh poor man, give it up until he's at least 30. No sense in beatin' your head against the wall.LOL
