I commented to the FMCSA on the HOS rules that they are shoving down our throats now, they already have their mind made up, the comment section is just a bunch of BS to make it look like they gave us a chance to comment. The same will go with EOBRs, speed limiters, 8 hour driving day, etc. All the FMCSA wants to do is make the anti-trucking windowlickers happy.

That about sums it up. They'll do like they want till shown otherwise. I remember back in 79-80 when they had the last real truckers strike. Truckers had the goverenment's attention, lot's of things was in short supply. I was fixing flats then it was like it was raining nails on the highway. Looking back at history by 1793 the French had #### near eradicated their politician problem. The only down side was the got Napoleon Bonaparte.

I'm buying the numbers because I signed up for e-mail notification and received notice every time a new comment was posted . I checked the comments regularly . I also posted a couple of posts here commenting on poor support and providing a link to the request
In 2006 when NHTSA requested comments on speed limiters I checked that regularly also but it got overwhelming when they started getting over 100 comments a day supporting speed limiters . ATA did a much better job getting supporting comments than OOIDA did opposing them .

Well, I took the time, yet again, to post comments on the FMCSA site. I have always wondered why so many do not also do so. It is so easy. All the trucking rags will send out notices on industry news via email to anyone who signs up, and things like this get sent out regularly. Folks should sign up for email news headlines and alerts so that they can stay up on this kind of stuff. It takes hardly any more time to post an official comment on FMCSA site as it does to yell and scream in a posting here on this forum.
