Those and Dutch wooden clogs. I bought a pair of those when I was in Rotterdam; don't know what happened to them. Maybe termites ate them.

Come on now. What’s with all you boomers? Why can’t you just comply with the trends and fall in line like everybody else? After all, dressing like you have a purpose in life is just so last Tuesday.

Because us boomers don't comply with new trends, we keep the ones we created alive.
We are all old coots set in our very narrow ways, because they are the only ways that make even a bit of sense. (In an objective way by the way, not merely subjective.) (And that is not just my subjective opinion, it is a fact... and everyone knows it.)

And you should have heard my dad complaining about the new trends, how things were so much better when he was a kid.
Well, when he wasn't telling us stories about how he had to walk 5 miles to school in the snow, uphill both ways, without even a coat because kids were tougher in those days.

And when you reach those ages, I wonder what you will be thinking and complaining about.

I call them Singh-dals because I only see Sikhs wearing them out here. I just don't understand why someone would want to wear them while driving
