New Rugged Flip Flops

My wife and I got married 10 days after we graduated. The pastor didnt want to do it because "young marriages never work". We have been married over 50 years now... That picture isnt her BTW... But it isnt far off.

50 years, just out of high school. I guess we are about the same age. I graduated in 1974.
And yes, those were the days to remember. Great music, great cars, kind of up until that point from 10 years earlier.

 

I ain't much on flip-flops. Can I drive in a pair of these instead?

 

You can drive wearing whatever you want.
Those boots don't look very practical for driving, moving about the cabin or climbing down from the truck.
Putting them on outside, however, opens new possibilities.

 

As long as they look good while my feet are propped up on the dash, that's all I care about.

Oh wait, if I do that then people won't be able to see how cool I am with my super-tall extended shifter. Maybe I'll just lean my light-up CB antennas so far forward they're almost horizontal, and install some of those LED eyeballs in my windshield.

 

Id never wear any sandal unless I worked at the beach. But when I did wear sandals ( at home) they'd be the ones that strap, front and back. Never liked flip flops because they come off too easy. Like if you have to run

 

You'll be faster heading in from the fuel island to pick up your receipt and sodee water in those.

 

Why post a random picture of a woman?what does that have to do with the story?

 

I’ve gotten lazy and have been wearing my jogging shoes rather than the steel toes.

Still jeans tho no sweat pants or warm ups. I’ll leave that to the true slobs and the Eastern Europeans.
