It depends on what you prefer to do. I once did a regional dedicated run, 300 mile radius, m-f stayed out there all week but in the wrong direction to go home, went home late every Friday night, left back out late Sunday night, same loads, roads & scenery every day, sitting a lot waiting to get loaded, very mundane, pay was lacking too. This got old real quick. Same outfit, but I put in for OTR, all 48 lower, got to see the country, along with the good, bad & ugly, different scenery every day, different commodities, much more challenge & responsibility though, better pay, sometimes had to find my own backhauls, sometimes tough to get out of dead areas, usually out a couple weeks at a time. This was way before the age of the cell phones though....
