New Stryker 497hpc interfering with my omnitracs eld GPS

Your situation is the same as others, I asked one of my cb sources about the radio and he said the radio has a couple design flaws in it, many of them transmit a signal through both the power and coax that kills anything near it. He just recommends getting a better radio. One of my drivers had this radio installed and when he used it, he said the truck screen went blank.

I have never had one here to test when I had the test unit setup made for testing leakage of a device so I can’t tell what it is. The one thing that you could try is to get a bunch of ferrit chokes and put one each on the power of the Omni trac unit and the cb to see if that helps.

Run a min of 10ga wire from radio to battery...Do some bonding (grounding)
and run 1 coax to one antenna....Once done it shouldnt bother your eld....
DONT trade or sell radio yet till all other options are exhausted...
