Having spoken to a Freymiller recruiter many times, they do a lot of coast to coast runs.

Keep looking. You'll probably never see West of I-35.

You guys are awesome with your help. Also, Chinatown has given me a ton of companies nearby. Monday, I start week 2 of 4 for my CDL School. I have a lot of questions still. I was a mortgage broker for near 10 years back in the days. I am a married home owner who has a nice egg. I'm not sure if the mega carriers are going to work for me and I hate to set myself up for failure. I will be a new CDL holder so low man on the totem pole ( I get this ) ... however, I think I would do better with a smaller company. I'm ok with OTR or Regional. I just might need to take my time some and interview to try to get a good feel for these companies.

I worked unloading trucks for sometime in Rock Hill and made $21/hr entry level doing that. It was absolutely back breaking work and I could not sustain it. I'm 51 and even though I am clean and sober now for many many years ... life has taken a toll on my back lol. So, thanks so much to all of you , you seem so helpful and good people and investing in people is what its all about. Its not what you know but who you know or so they say <pray> tyty

Yeah....Schneider does indeed have a terminal in Charlotte.

But....check out all these other leads, first. I kinda sorta meant for that one to be a "last resort".

    Suddath (terminal in Charlotte)
Sponsors cdl school, but you don't need that since you're already in school.
We operate in all 48 states and do not force dispatch. Our goal is to keep you in your preferred lanes as best we can.
If Suddath is like most household goods movers, the driver hires lumpers to do the loading/unloading and the driver mostly supervises. I've moved several times in my life and hired household goods movers and that's what I witnessed and also chatted with the drivers. You can ask about that policy.
