That GOAL and honking your city horn while backing is ridiculous. Hire TRAINERS that TRAIN not use the log book as an extra paycheck. It still doesn't stop these guys from tearing doors off. They get flustered, mostly because some no name on the side Peterbilt is sitting waiting, probably talking trash on the radio and they hurry in without paying attention.

I'll talk on mine, yours and make a sandwich and still hit the hole center. I'm talking about their new drivers.

My hours are mine. When Swift decides to pay me then this will change.... U must log on duty during conference calls. Excuse me who's phone is this and who's time is it ? I go into sleeper until I feel them loading then on duty 15 minutes.. If they have an issue with this then they can hire someone else. My goal is too make as much money safely in the time I am allowed by law. When Swift starts dictating without paying then it's time to move on up....

Their new rules are becoming idiotic and let me get into some kind of power position and there would be a lot of idiots fired........ All they are doing is hurting themselves and will definitely show in the next few years.... Driver should always come first but here @ Swift I think we are behind the janitor.....

They should start paying use for the stop even if its a PU and delivery dam gov needs to regulate these company's instead of us and force then to pay 14hrs a day at $20 a hr not are fault we don't get the miles or loads if we sit that's the company's problem we are away from our wife n kids for every yr of service they should be forced to pay $1 more per hr and fully paid medical, billion dollar company's should pay medical, without us these company's would not make and the U.S. would either pretty bad when ia can fined better pay and paid medical as a local driver with just 2yrs exp

I said company regulation for pay if u been driving for 25yrs you should know the pay is BS and I like driving but you got to admit the pay is ridiculous, Im getting my 2 yrs and I'm done with OTR until my kids move out and the wife can come with me at least unless the pay is worth stay where I am by then, but I have talk to drivers only make $300 to $600 there is something wrong there when I make more than that on 4 or 5 days off

They aren't so bad to start out with. I mean most of the big otr companies are kinda similar. If you are able to hire on with a smaller company then that would probably be a better option; still depends though,
I mean in terms of pay and home time. I don't regret going to swift for my first trucking/otr job but if I could go back I would've researched more companies and probably would have went to a different one, primary reason being getting better pay. Ideally I would like go to company with no elogs/qualcom, .30 plus a mile (obvisously more if possible) and something like 14 days out and optional up to 5 days hometime.

I do agree Swift is not as bad as I had heard and pay isn't bad I mean I manage to make $1000+ a week, ya I had a friend leave Swift to a small company 16trucks, he is cheating his paper log constantly because the pu and delivery times are just way to close he hardly ever gets a 10hr break I wouldn't want to go through that all the time and sad part is he was making better money with Swift he is close to what he was making but he runs runs runs constantly I love to just run but I want my 10hr break too. So Im good where Im at for now but got my eye on a tanker job at 2yrs home everyday and great pay and benifts nothing against Swift but sucks not to be home more with the family, I got to admit 3 days home and I get that it h to go though, if u got a good DM that's cool u can take 5 days off I run dedicated and do it every month but I also work at night I get home at 8am usually don't count that day and take 4 more days, DM told me if u work after midnight that day does not count because u worked.
