New T/A Location...Exit 195 I-81 VA

Ugh, farewell Lee Hi. Hopefully they don't mess with Berky's menu or the decorations in the restaurant.

 

The Lee Hi used to be one of my favorite stops. Good food, great service, and there was always a parking spot no matter what time you got there. I'm not really thrilled that it's a TA now, but it could be worse... it could have been Pilot.

 

Waitress said they only way the restaurant changes is if the owner croaks and his kids/wife decides to sell it off...

Hopefully you can still pull in that place 3 in the morning and find ample parking, the only place on 81 in the whole state of virginia you could get away with that...

 

Im here at the Lee-Hi right now. Still plenty of parking left, lol. Seems to be the same as the last time I was here 14 years ago. Seems that despite being a TA, it's too far off the main road for most of steering wheel holders to even bother stopping here. Can't add that extra mile or so to the trip!

 

Yeah as much as I travel the I-81 corridor I make Lee Hi a natural stop. great food and great service. One of my favorites.

 

just made a note in my truck stop guide for this spot i flew right past there saturday...sigh....

 

I wouldn't say great food. It's ok a little better than the food at a normal TA. And nowhere near as good as a Denny's.

 

Might be good news for toy truck collectors!
