The tanker guys have a pretty similar schedule as the van guys as far as I know. Originally I was going on the tanker side as a company driver but decided to take the plunge as an IC.

With me im just hoping the miles are there
-
Yeah, me too lol.
-
Well I will rely on you and other drivers I run into for info. But I noticed there are always drivers just not happy no matter how you put it
-
Oh yeah. Attitude goes a long way. The big key is open and honest communication with the dbl. I called mine yesterday to introduce myself to him and let him know things like I like to run hard. So I am really interested to see how it all works out.
-
Well I been here a yr and a half and havent had any problems but run into other drivers that have bad luck I guess idk I just stay in my lane
-
How long are you planning on staying out at a time? I'm do use to being home every weekend anymore then that and I start getting claustrophobic.
-
I avg. 2-3 weeks. Been doing it for so long now I don't even notice lol.
-
2 weeks would be my max I think. I got 5 kids under the age of 13 at home plus a wife.
-
My son is in College now, the first 8 years of marriage I was in the Army, so this for the last 11+ years the time apart is nothing new. I do like the ability to have the wife go with me though. I never had that chance previously pulling tanks.mattbnr Thanks this.
