Haven't been in a trick since I quit schneider last Novemeber. They told me that they were cutting my pay because I refused to go to to new York and I reminded that they had made a deal with me, in emails that I still had " that I dont go into the northeast id they wanted me to come back and they had cut my pay when I had come back so that with the new pay cut I was making first year driver wages. I told them where to go and was so absolutely disgusted with that and the fact that I stepped in human feces twice in one weeks from slobs crapping next to my truck and between trailers at customers and just how unhappy Ive been that I took 5 months sabbatical and just went back to work in may at an aerospace company. I work in shipping for a whole $12 and hour and i just about quit everyday but they have alot of overtime and the guys there are nice. Just the pays sucks and having to deal with 'supervisors' who threaten to 'write you up' from everything from revving a forklift to high to not answering you radio in an appropriate manner.
Not sure where my life is going at this point. How have you been?
I dont follow the forums much anymore.

Today sucked. I had to report back to work for 6am & didn't even get a load until 11:15am. The. Around 1pm Had my first breakdown today guys! Heater Hose or whatever hose it is popped out & coolant everywhere. Had like 3 check engine lights come on & smoke everywhere. Pulled over onside the road. Stayed on hold with Emergebcy maintainance for an hour, then waited 3 hours for the tow truck. Then an hour ride to the Reserve OC. Then had to call Extended to try & get a hotel for the night since I couldn't sleep in the truck & idle it since there was no coolant. After being on hold for an hour & a half I got through to somebody & had a reservation set up. Now I'm in a hotel for the night. Made no money today after being off the last 2 days which sucks. But as some of you may tell me "It's Trucking" lol. I know everyday won't be all gravy but I still got 126 miles in! Lol

Has to be a 24 hour period for that $65 to get paid out. So if that truck broke down at what? 1pm? If it's fixed at noon the next day.. No $65

    Thull Thanks this.

From my understanding detention starts 2 hours after appt time and increases until it's $65. Then it stays that way unless you manage to sit there for 48 hours in which case you'd get an extra $65.
Layover is $65 for any dispatched 24 hour period where you do nothing.
Breakdown is $65 for any breakdown that takes more than 24 hours (same as layover except calculation starts from time of breakdown). Not sure if I'm 100% correct on breakdown though. that's the only one I haven't had to deal with yet. (Goes off to find some wood to knock on)
