    Since I want to team with my wife, I would have all the benies you spoke of, LOL. Now that things are looking up-at least a little bit- on the economy, I am starting to look at options more seriously for this spring or early summer.

    I would like that! Thanks. I have your blog bookmarked and have read all of the entries so far. We were set to go with Schneider and then they shut the school down. We even passed our hazmat tests and found out that we were not security risks. That was a big load off of our minds LOL! Anyway, I am not sure if I have enough posts to use a PM, but I will give it a try. Thanks again for the offer.

    We heard that too and about the great training they provided. Were were set to go with the bulk division, but then they shut down the school. We decided that the economy needed to settle down some before we would try again, and I think the time is near.

    Have you looked into Workforce Investment Act (WIA) funding for school? You are MUCH better off not going to a company school. You do not want to be owned by anybody. Also, most schools will finance the tuition and then the company you choose will help to pay the monthly payment through tuition reimbursement. I believe my employer (US Xpress) reimburses at $150 a month up to $4,800. Not sure about the numbers since we used WIA funds but a recruiter can tell you. You will be way ahead and able to pick from any company if you go to a private school. Happy to answer any questions you may have.
