I run Chinese steer tires on the trailer, and the compound isn't hard enough that I would trust them on my steer axle.
-
That's not true. Ive gotten way more time out if recaps. Ive blown new tires, virgin used, and recaps. It depends on how you drive, where you drive, and if you keep them inflated, and keep your 5th wheel greased up. That'll reduce tire wear during turns and backing
-
They wear super fast on the steers. You can get away with them for about a year tops, but if your front end is out of alignment, you may as well hang that up
-
These are wearing fine. The compound is real soft had three punctures in first month.
-
You have them on the trailer right? I was speaking in terms of running them on the steers axle.
-
Yes on the trailer. I do ltl reefer so a lot of turning and the occasional curb or three.
bryan21384 Thanks this. -
Hahahahaha I understand that. Insure had to borrow a curb in Kansas City the other day
