Graduated last Wednesday, got my CDL the same day. Central paid the school and in return I have to spend a year with them. Because I am a vet they are paying all of my school. Something I can live with.

I trained here in North Carolina at a school contracted by Central.

What exactly is the works well test? I am working on getting on with Central, don't think I'll have a problem, but was just curious.

It's a series of exercises they put your through. You have to lift 25, 45 and 75 pounds from the ground to your waist (x 3), and from your waist over your head (x 3). They make you carry 50 and 75 pounds 53'(x 3) and you have to simulate climbing in and out of a trailer or truck (x 3)

I have 10 grandkids so it was a piece of cake for me LoL

yea i hope so too. i talked to my recruiter today brandy, shes gonna run my mvr and let me know tomorrow. I told her I want to start January 10th. That way I can get as many hours as I can at my job im at now and save some money before I go. the only thing that can keep you from getting on would be a bad driving record, criminal background and failed drug test.

Thanks Celtic, wasn't too worried about a physical, or a physical abilities test, I work in the rail car repair business right now, and because of workplace politics, I am getting out. Been working with my recruiter Matt, all I have to do right now is give him the go ahead for my MVR and such to be run. I already have my CDL but no OTR experience, they are putting me through their refresher course. Looking forward to it. My only question is if they are going to be running the course through the holidays right now. That's my only worry right now, I want to get started.
