1693 in class 8 trucks only went up to 425 hp if I'm not mistaken.

If I remember correctly..... the 350 did NOT have the after cooler and the 425 did have it. Btw, you did have that adjustment on the pump to give it more fuel, but it was anyone’s guess how much HP exactly you gained. I had a close friend that owned one in a 1973 Pete COE.

That is correct as far as I can tell. Whether or not they went higher in other applications, I don't know.

Yes, that is also correct. I will be adding a JWAC to mine.

As for turning up the fuel, I know how to do it, but I don't have the specs and measuring tool. With the right spec and tool, Cat can set the rack and have a pretty close idea of how many HP the engine will be cranking out.

50/50 mix of acetone and ATF for the win. And i don't want to start a peeing contest, but the only other thing that I feel works worth a dang is Kroil.

Here's the old beast as it sits.

Needs a lot more gauges and switches

Changed the rear end oils, checked the tranny and front axle oil, and greased it up. Only thing it needs so far is a patch job on the condenser and a good cleaning of the HVAC box to get the A/C up and working.

She’d look good with a coffin on her too. Plans?

First thing is to get it on the road, which I pretty much have it there. #2 is building a grille guard - don't necessarily like the looks, but the wildlife is getting to be a major problem in the area. #3 is gauges, horsepower, and wiring - the original wiring is a bit shabby. #4 is some fashion of retardation and a newer 13 or 18 speed (or even 8LL) for the taller overdrive to make the 4.10's a little more road friendly. After that comes dual stacks, another air cleaner, paint, maybe a coffin, etc., etc.

Anyone have any pictures of good looking cow catchers on the front of a W900A? Don't really have a design in my head that I like - I hate a big bulky bumper. Probably build from light steel unless I get really ambitious and brush up on my aluminum stick welding skills.

And again, does anyone know about this old turbo and what would be a good upgrade? Or does anyone know who I could call and talk to that would?
