New to Prime INC - What to expect (Springfield edition)

Well wish me luck. I have started talking to the recruiter to leave on the 21st of June. I had to wait because of a reckless driving charge that wasn't quite 3 years old yet. I already have my permit and DOT physical. My question to you guys is will I still need to run through the DOT physical again or just the drug screen. And 2, will they accept my current state (KY) permit or do I need to transfer it once I get there. I am trying to figure out cost and what not to have the money I need.

I'm starting at Springmo on the22nd also....

 

I should be there the 22nd as well but I already have my CDL.

1. Yes you will do a Prime DOT physical.

2. Yep. KY permit will work and will save you about a weeks worth of headache (from what I've heard).

Rely on the facts from those of us that are here, and actually know what we are talking about.

No substitute for ACTUAL first hand experience.

These second hand/third hand sources of info will steer ya wrong every time. Ya know, "Like I heard it from a guy that knows a guy, who met my third cousin. And he told me..........."

Thanks FMJ, I've read this thread from the beginning. I found your input along with Ironpony & Silent Eagles to be a very important part of my decision to join Prime.....
I was hoping to get a good trainer cause I want to learn how to do everything correctly and safely.....

Same here. i have read this from the beginning and most of my questions seem to be answered. The rest? Well it looks like either I am worrying about it too much or it's purely experienced based. hope to see you guys there.

 

Does the Prime terminal in Springfield have mail boxes that employees can rent? ---- I never thought they did.

Otherwise, I'll get a UPS box.
