Applied a week ago and got conditional offer today. Already have CDL Waiting for DOT physical... Should be in class late OCT. Could someone tell me the best way to get to Marshfield. I live in New Hampshire so I thought about driving maybe fly. Is there transportation to and from hotel. I think I would be coming home before going out with trainer. So any thoughts on best choice would be appreciated.

I have been accepted with Roehl, start Oct 15th, the packet states you have to provide own transportation to from Roehl and Hotel, which is 3.7 miles away.
-
Roehl provides transportation to orientation and from the hotel and back everyday your there as well pays for lunch and dinner. For a experienced driver the process could be different. Depends on experience level. Fresh out they pay, experienced you pay. Fresh out you can rent a car and keep all the receipts for reimbursement, or to good ol' greyhound bus in which they pay for your ticket and maybe other transportation. Marshfield is in the sticks literally

So flying there is no good. Looks like a 1200 mile drive for me then.... thanks waiting for packet in mail.
Thank you! -
Thanks, guess my packet was incorrect or not updated.

Also Cobra I'm from Orlando are you going to Ellenwood GA for orientation? They used to provide a van for the experienced guys as well as the newbies, but since then the van has been trashed by students as far as wear and tear and the instructors transport them to the terminal and hotel everyday lol. They might for experienced drivers too I'm not sure so I could be wrong you'll have to find out.

Really... Thats even better. Ok well I guess i'll call my recruiter to confirm.
Thank you -
You could look into it and see the difference between the drive fuel costs vs. a flight ticket and cab. I didnt go to marshfield for orientation so my info might be wrong and they couldve changed things recently as far as the packet. I got my info in a email, I took a greyhound, not as far as you, and picked up went to the hotel, and shuttled to and from the terminal everyday.mipale Thanks this.

Coopnp: Marshfield orientation.
Going van division.
I'll fly into Madison Sunday 14th trying to find a ride from Madison airport up to Marshfield or else I'll have to rent a car.
I live in Oveido close to UCF. -
Awesome my fiance family lives there near the High School. Your packet might have info as far as how to get there from Madison such as a easier and cost effective way instead of going that route. Unless they reimburse you for it when you get there. If your experienced then you'll be in and out compared to a fresh out of school person. I think its like 3 days orientation and with a trainer for a short period of time, you'll test out at one of the terminals and get a load home after you recieve your truck. The weather for me at least is kinda chilly for us FL's so pack a jacket, sweater, or hoodie.
