new to the CB thing need some help

    Your right clear as mud .....

    In simple terms SWR is how much power your antenna excepts and radiates and how much it rejects and sends back to the radio ........

    It is a PERCENT and shows on a meter as a scale ..... Like this ....

    1:1 match = 100 % accepred and radiated ....
    1.5:1 Match = 96 % accepted
    2.0:1 match = 90 %... 10% rejected
    3.0:1 Match =75 % .... 25% REJECTED ...

    Does that make more sence :biggrin_25525:

    try connecting it directly to your batteries. If it still blows a fuse then I would check the incoming volts to make sure that you are getting the correct voltage.
