The 04 Acert was known for water pump failures, numerous shaft breakage issues and the impeller slipping, guess the later years had a thicker stronger shaft. Just watch out for leaks and if you hear a grinding noise coming from it CHANGE IT! My other truck had over a million before it started to leak, this was a 3406E, i see my bridge C15 in the KW its been replaced, according to the records at 455k miles.

You could propably add roughly 100hp to that acert with the fuel temp and boost wire. Friend makes these. Lets just say when cat techs have issues they call him, and hes a truck driver.

I've seen them last over 1 mil. on the E models. As far as the Accerts, I seen them replaced at 3,000 and I've seen some with 500,000 still running the original. It seems like if you get a good one, she'll last for a while. I have been seeing quite a few being replaced in the 350-450 range out at Werner, it that gives you an idea. Just keep an eye on the weep hole and your temp gauge.... -
Thank for the feedback.

I'll run the truck asap...but I can't run the ES, something is wrong with my login...
I can tell you with out looking that that truck was built in Nashville. The Denton trucks tend to be a little less troublesome than the Nashville trucks.

That truck came from SC&J Transport out ot Roger City, MI
the Build date is 1/16/03 and the inservice date is 4/11/03
According to the Paccar warranty history..there has not been but about 5 or 6 claims on the truck....either its been a goodun or the driver let it go....
That is about all that I can tell you about it without looking up the engine....
Does it look like a pretty clean truck? -
Its fairly low millage for an 03 at 423k, i checked it out yesterday and drove it. Drove real good and the truck is very clean.
