You obviously aren't aware what the interest rates are right now. You won't gain 1 MPG, more like .5 MPG. And you'll have to keep taking the loads no one else wants.
Just pay off the truck before you take the next step.

 

It looks you don't have much of a choice, but to like them.

This business is so unpredictable, with so many variables, but it looks you've solved it.

There’s a lot of people that think since they can’t have a new truck it’s impossible for anyone except a fleet to be able to run new equipment.

 

First of all I want to 100% agree with you that Freightliner's "safety systems" are pure garbage and in fact can likely cause more safety issues than potentially prevent. I know because I drove multiple late model Freightliner Cascadias with the safety systems and had all sorts of issues. I actually found out how to disable them and after I did that is the only way I chose to drive them.

That being said I know that Volvo's safety systems are not perfect but they actually are effective and do what is expected at least in my experience. Here is a video example that I found:

 

My Choice is NOW IS NOT TIME TO BUY A TRUCK better waiting when everthing go better
