Johny41, what were your expenses. Just want to know what money was spent on.
Was there much spent on DPF/EGR??

if so, was that mostly it??

 

You cannot compare 08 emissions to 14 emissions. That was tge first year with learning curves and totally different system now

 

In 08 everyone was doing bad with Noone leading the pack but now a few years have gone by and volvo is on top with Detroit behind them and cummins owners going broke. These overpriced Petes and kennies are about to lose the only thing they have going for them and that's resale value.

It's tough to not buy new especially on otr where I've seen guys go bust over a $10,000 repair. Sooner or later that truck will start nickel and diming you to death.

 

Much difference with the two. Not to mention new changes coming between 2016 and 2018. More choking of the engine. I would assume more components to make the engine work harder to last less. It's too bad the engineers didn't include a way to filter out the carbon/materials where the driver/company could remove a removable canister based on mileage driven. This would have been the smart thing to do.

This could have been done by a 1 time cleanable or a throw away filter.
