New wanting to know some work information

    Hello. Thank you for taking the time to read This. So I'm a new driver I have a year's experience but due to the swift scandal I got my My CDL taken. Well turns out it was never issued to me. I just recently got my CDL in the state of Oregon. Upon coming to this form I have read that reddway Is a Bad company to work for and unions in general. They have taken an interest in me what should I do? I have obtained all my endorsements and I really want a local job. I would really like to Haul tankers. Or do line haul. Maybe someone can help me out from the Grants Pass/White City/Medford area. I'm kind of lost as to how about going to search for job And what would be a good starting pay for hourly? I read all the time people getting high paying jobs there for like 75K + for local and whatnot.

    2007-2008, Swift’s school in Memphis and the state of Tennessee we’re just handing out CDLs to people who were ineligible to drive. Well, an ineligible slammed into a car, killed a family, got out and beat feet out of there. Some digging was done and a bunch of people who got their CDLs through Swift lost them, and had to reapply and retest.

    The “Swift scandal” was a couple years ago. It seems the training at a couple terminals was pretty lax and a number of drivers had their CDL revoked.

    At least, that is what I seem to remember of it. Like I said, it was years ago.

    I believe it was 08. I may be wrong tho. Used to see the Swift trucks at night with their hazards on, going hospital zone speeds on the i55 service roads north of West Memphis.

    Wow, sounds like one of our ex-governors here who ended up in Club Fed for selling CDLs. A shame someone was killed over it...
