Oh gee whiz, why don't all you big bullies realize that this poster is the only human that never makes a mistake. And even if he does he has a line of horse crap a mile long to excuse himself.
Ok Driverdog, here it is in a nutshell. You screwed up, but instead of admitting it, learning from it, and moving on, you are playing the oldest trick in the book. Which is trying to make the cops out to be the bad guys, (which, sadly I have to admit can happen, but quite obviously was not the case here.) You do this to deflect your responsibility in the situation.
You don't have to "prove yourself innocent." That statement is as absurd as pretty much everything else you have posted in this thread. The more defensive you get, the more obvious it is that you can't admit to a mistake.
I believe it is more on the line of recognizing horse crap when we see it, rather than having a LEO's back. smh

Everyone else in that "heavy traffic" managed to play their little game, perhaps at this time they were indeed waiting for a rust bucket obviously shouldn't be on the road or yes maybe just waiting for someone to go whipping past in hopes they don't get chased down. Not going into the ramp, regardless of your intent, is irrelevant. You should consider yourself lucky he didn't have you go around and try again and go over you with a fine toothed comb. He couldn't do that when you went back to let him know how you feel because that would look like he was harassing you. 1 inspection per day per state is what I heard they can get you for, probably a rule of thumb thing.

You made an error... for whatever reason, it happens. Get past it and carry on. It is not a career ender. It isn't going to damage the company all that bad. Your idea that you were somehow doing as directed is wrong. This is just how ny operates. Wait til you see what pa has in store if you ever find yourself on any of the back routes, or at the top of a hill where you have to stop before descending they setup at those too. Just admit you screwed up and go forward. It really isn't a huge deal. Don't make it one. And don't do it again. This job is wayyyy easier if you just play their stupid games.

You truly do have an awesome amount of horse crap! And what makes you think any of us even care about what you say is going on?

You skipped a truck inspection. Ignorance of the law is no excuse. Yes, he could have gave you a ticket n didn't.

Nobody got to stick up for a cop that got you when you were slipping.

If you really feel so self righteous: tell the cop what you think instead of truckers on the Internet: n tell him you want an inspection so you can fight the points.

Then you can come on here n complain how much the ticket was when they point out that you didn't pay attention to road signs (don't matter how small) and didn't stop at the truck check: and are guilty n therefore responsible for paying the ticket.

This ain't a courtroom; this is the Internet. You come here n complain about getting caught breaking a law.... Then are indignant about the response you got......hm.

And here l thought everyone had a smart phone that does everything. No need to have a cb anymore. They're for wanne be old school billy big riggers. If there was other trucks present I'm sure some one was saying something about the joker passing them as they were slowing down to go in.
