But did he give you an actual option to buy a new ADZ? I've been curious about this as well. I have found a couple newer cuttoffs with ADZ suspension, they are in the 10k range

    Oxbow Thanks this.

If I was going to go that route, A lot of stars have neway, infact sitting about 100 feet from me right now is one that has been parted out. The motor and tranny is gone, the frame is broken under the sleeper, but the suspension and 46 double locking rears is still there. I would find a used cutoff.

I am looking at mine right now, I do not seea problem putting neway on your existing frame, You would have to drill 6 holes for each hanger, four for each shock mount, which doubles for the torsion bar brackets and 2 bolts for each air bag. A couple of days with a mag drill and you would be set.

Nope he said they don't sell direct and he'd be surprised if a retailer partner would install it etc etc. Very adamant about me upgrading rails with it if I did it. I'm leaning towards stretching 3 feet with new rails and an airliner or adz cutoff if I can find one with 3.90s or close to it

If I find a nice cutoff I could use the old rails as template for the holes. Order new set of rails out of VT with additional 3 feet. Etc. I agree I think that's best case

If I was going to go the new rails route, I would talk to pg adams. I am willing to bet they could sell you rails already drilled to take the suspension of choice, as cheap as you could fool with it.

I have heard the air beams were trouble and parts either hard to get or expensive. I do not know anybody that has them.
I know where there is an old early 60's mack sitting out in the woods with some antique neway air ride on it, different from anything I can remember.

Yesir pg in VT the best. You're absolutely right it's 5k just to rebush and put back together in parts. all odd ball crap and this time around only lasted year and a half. Lots of labor to do as well. Doesn't ride great at all. DEF better to put something on that's easy to maintain and cheaper to maintain

They are extremely hard to find, but there were a couple at a truck salvage yard in Ohio a while back. I don't have a link to them.

I also considered buying a slightly older Neway and refurbishing it to install. Heres one I found

Also, here is an ADZ tri drive set up. It would be worth buying if they would knock some money off and sell just a tandem EATON T800 Cutoff Assembly #44406 - Detail Information from HeavyTruckParts.Net

That first one is the same as mine, except for that 4.30 part. That would be a little low for my use. Mine are 4.10,'s, would rather have 3.90's I think.
Chances are, those would just need new bags, unless they have a ton of hard miles the bushings should be good.
