This. @Chinatown sends legit leads and I'm sure this matters some by location, but if I go on Indeed I see a number of driving jobs marked "urgently hiring".
Someone will bite off. Then it's just a matter of keeping your head down and running hard for at least a year and a lot will open up to you.

"WHY did you not have your ANXIETY MEDS since Driving is the back and most IMPORTANT half of Orientation"??
I'm sure had you have realized no MEDS before being scheduled to Drive, they would have helped, had they been informed.
Keep your chin up. -

Keep in mind that some medicines for psychological issues are disqualifying for commercial drivers. Any company who knows your issues WILL want to be constantly updated about any and all prescription changes; IF they even bother to give you a job, which is unlikely. So, here's my advice to you. Either:
1) Do not disclose your anxiety issues, but have a long talk with your physician about the drugs you are taking and whether any of them are problematic or will cause you to fail a drug screen. HIPAA laws pretty much make it possible to keep secret anything that should not concern your company or the DOT.
Or, 2) Wait until your anxiety issues are under control and you no longer need any medications.tscottme Thanks this. -
Probably told by a jokester at USA: "in event of an emergency, the trailer will pivot in the middle therein providing extra ability to turn around in tight areas, so long as empty trailer".

Construction, man. Best bet I think in your situation. Do good work on the ground and at some point they'll want to put you in a dump truck. Then a transfer dump. I spent several years in a Mack cement mixer with two pusher axles and a booster off the back. After that experience I was not the least bit intimidated by the equipment. It was a pretty good job, too!

Planners send preplans that the driver can accept, refuse or counter the times on.
No real discourse between the planner and driver.
If the driver refuses the load it is taken off the driver and another preplan is sent.
When the current load is completed the driver is dispatched on the next load.
That can be done by a driver leader or the computer, sometimes the FM or TM if they are around and paying attention to the little things.
The Swift games are there, like any company.
Between yesterday and today I was sent the same preplan by two different planners.
My PTA was set for 2000 tonight and this load picks up at 0900 tomorrow morning. It is a 4.5 hour drive and I'll be taking a 10 in between.
Well, I say 10 but I take more time than that.
But even with a strict 10 hour break I could not have made that live load by 0900.
So I countered the offer with times I could do it in.
It was not acceptable so the load was taken off me each time.
No big deal, no stress. A bit later someone else sent me a load that I could do in the given time frame.
That comment was meant to insult me for working for Swift, or maybe directed at Swift.
But I have options at Swift that do not cause my BP to rise. I work with good people that do their best to keep me happy.
It has been that way for 12 years, which is why I am still with Swift.lual Thanks this. -
thanks to everyone for the advice
