Wow. I thought I was underestimating with .20 per mile in an earlier post. This is what's wrong with the industry. No wonder my .555 per mile job gets farmed out to other companies. What a joke. If you work for .13 you deserve what you get. -
If you put your experience to work you'll move up and not out. You keep your record clean so you can find the better companies and you can get specialized and drive a truck that the new driver doesn't know how. You think Tri-State hauling explosives is going to put a new guy on the truck? You just get experienced and keep a clean record and then you'll be able to get out of the world of cheap companies.

I think what he was saying was that he splits 28 CPM, but he elected for per diem pay (rather than claiming the deducation on taxes) so he gets 13 CPM split PLUS the per diem pay. Still, that sounds really high...15 cents for per diem? Might mess with his taxes, especially running as a team. Or the 15 cents per diem is split to 7.5 CPM per driver, if both elected the same plan. Or maybe he meant that he was getting 14 CPM on team miles, but per diem lowered it to 13 CPM, which is REALLY low for per diem. Hell, now I'm confused, which ain't hard to do. :smt101
