Well, 1st, welcome aboard, now look what you did, Chinatown tends to get carried away sometimes, all his references are credible, however, best advice I can give, is lose the "female driver" part, it doesn't apply today. Years ago, women stayed away from trucking, and were chastised for even trying. Today, we don't have that "restriction", and you needn't say that anymore. The fact you speak English puts you head and shoulders above the rest anyway.
The other thing, is to tell us what type of trucking( flat, van/ reefer, tank) where you want to go, ( OTR,local, regional) and anything else, like pets, health, and can better find a suitable job, it can be overwhelming. Some complain about these "lesser" freight outfits, but truth is, they've been in business a long time, and have dedicated accounts. You may not make the money the recruiter told you, but patience is the key. We, as a country need you, and I think you'll do fine. Keep us posted, eh?

Experience and Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of verifiable over-the-road driving experience OR certification from accredited truck driving academy.

 

Hey, neighbor. I'd suggest that you do at least 6 months to a year OTR before applying for a local gig. You would be eligible for JB Hunt's semi-local Target run out of Jax with just 90 days of experience. Ready-mix companies usually hire drivers without experience, but you wouldn't be able to count that work as truck driving experience.

 

CR England has a local job in Jacksonville pulling intermodal containers. I think you must have 3 mos. Class-A experience for that job.
