I contacted them a few days later and talked to the rep there they were familiar with my area since im close to to Laredo Texas, and most of there stuff comes from there like the produce and stuff like that

Your in a really bad place for starters, I'd look at doing tanker, wast water or frak sand. Some company's are in so much of a need for drivers there taking them right out of school so it won't be hard to get started. I'd drive a few years learn the rules and ropes even if your driving for someone else keep track of what it cost tires, maintenance, fuel etc it will help you get a idea of what it takes.
GOOD LUCK!!mje Thanks this. -
FFE and KLLM are now one company. These 2 reefer companies are now one huge reefer company. So FFE might be a good place to start. Under this new deal, FFE is expanding their tanker oil field work, hauling water.

FFE'S school up in Fort Worth is very good, but it's very accelerated. If you have the time, get some practice with your father in law and you'll be that much further ahead of the game if you choose to go there.
Prime is also a good company for students, and I know Celadon runs A LOT in and out of Laredo, my cousin runs Texas regional for them. I thought I remember reading somewhere that they were taking students now...Chinatown Thanks this. -
