Newbie going with Crete

who they be?

 

I'm going in on monday for orientation. Hopefully get a trainer sometime next week or so, if there are enough available.

oh ya, and I know Richard was looking at Crete, I wonder if that's the other one you are trying to think of.

 

Well the first day went pretty much as expected. Got a bunch of tests and a few videos out of the way. They did a drug test there, and I went across town to have a DOT physical done, as well as the pre-work screen. That part was rather easy. Just a bunch of lifting and pulling. Also did some paperwork, and will probably have more to do tomorrow. Will try to update a couple more times before I get out with a trainer. Although I do have web on my phone, so I will probably be able to update a little while I'm out as well.

 

Well I got my road test done today. It was a fairly easy route, and we did a coupling and uncoupling, and a back between two trailers. The guy said I did good, so I should be one step closer to getting with a trainer. Going back in tomorrow at 9 to finish up paper work, and hopefully the results from the drug screen will be in.

 

Well, I got officially hired today, and got a trainer. I met with him just a little while ago and put all my stuff in the truck, seems like a nice enough guy so far. I am sleeping at home tonight and going in the morning. He found a spot at the pilot just up from here to park for the night, so that worked out really well for me. So it looks like my long adventure is about to start!
