And to even double down, I am gonna speak absolute heresy, in addition to probably start a firestorm.

In my current position I was just issued a KW T-680 daycab with an Eaton 18 speed ultrashift PLUS. And I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!!!!

I had only ever driven an automatic 2 times before and they both were CRAP!!!! However, I LOVE this new one. I wish I could have this "tranny" in every truck I ever have from now on!!!!

And don't bore me with the "weight" arguement. I deliver chemicals, so I'm either FULLY LOADED (79,800) or completely empty. And this thing works GREAT!!!! Plus I HAVE to pull over AT LEAST one 5500ft + pass a day. Most of the time I have to climb 2 passes. And I don't have to mess with a clutch and very smooth shifting which makes the surge alot easier. So PLEASE don't!!!

    Let the games begin!!!

I have never been in Volvo though I am curious as I hear the turn ration in those is insane. Still I will take a freightShaker any day of over Internationals. Those things (Internationals) are no better than pick up trucks.

I had a Volvo for a few months and the ONLY thing I truly didn't like about it was the sleeper width. I'm over 6 ft and it was tight. I felt cramped in the sleeper. :biggrin_25513::biggrin_25510::biggrin_25513:

Liked the truck though. No other issues for me.

Im driving a 2014 pro star with a cummins. I will say the last truck I had (cascadia) felt like it had NO power going up hills with 45k. The pro star? No problems, I may have to drop 1 gear but it doesn't slow down. And there's MUCH more storage in a prostar, than what I had in my fl. Also the seats are more comfortable, and I don't feel so closed in. Just my opinion and I can only compare those 2 because those are the only trucks I've driven.
If I could chose any truck I wanted, probably go with a KW 660, or KW 900

Once when I was being reassigned a truck I was given a choice.
They didn't have a truck for me in Memphis, so I had to choose one from a different location.
I then would have to get there to pick it up, either by bus or another driver.

I chose a ProStar because it was the newest with the fewest miles.
    Big mistake.
During the 6 months I had it, it was in the shop at least 30 days for various things.
I guess that's why it had so few miles on it.

I ran an 07 Volvo VNL730 midroof, and I didn't have a problem with the sleeper at 6'2". For the most part, I liked the truck, although that air ride front axle scared the living #### out of me at first.

I drove Volvo's for a freight outfit like 10 years ago, the older style Volvo's. They were ok, I guess, pretty generic. They had like a billion miles on them. My first truck was a Western Star, well, half a Western Star. I had the back cut off and glued a Pete rear half on. Tell you what, that was a good old horse. Made money with that truck. If I got back into it, I'd only want a 379(or 89) Pete. I'd like a 359 like my 2nd (or 3rd) truck, but they are getting pretty hard to find. I never put anybody down for liking what they like. What ever turns your crank, is fine. Here's my Star, sorry about the pic quality. http://images.hemmings.com/wp-content/uploads//2014/03/HowardArbiture_02_1500.jpg
