Hello all!
As previously stated, I'm a newbie lady trucker, 21 years old. Contract with CRST. Doing team trucking with my fiance. Currently on the Greyhound headed to Waterloo, IA. Before telling me I'm making a huge mistake and am destined for failure like many others have, know that I know exactly what I'm getting into. I'm doing it to prove to myself that I can. I also know that this will be a testament Bto how strong or weak my relationship is. What I DO hope to hear is encouragement. Maybe some advice. Or possibly provide advice to those who need it while I continue on my adventure.

Not to be a P R I C K, but why do you need advice when you state "I know exactly what I'm getting in to?" If I knew exactly what I was getting in to everyday there would be no need to ask questions, but if I had any words of advice it would be don't go in to this as over confident as you are; allow yourself to learn something new everyday, and I mean everyday up until the day you decide to hang your keys up. And BTW trucking is so diverse, you think you've got all basis covered but you've yet to even put any miles under your belt, open your mind up a little bit before you dive in to this adventure.
MissJyss and Truckinchic Thank this. -
I didn't mean to come off as arrogant. I am very open to learning! The only reason I stated that I know what I am getting into is because while I've read through this forum hour after hour, mostly researching what people had to say about CRST, I've read TONS of posts telling people never to get involved with CRST, to never drive teams with a significant other, and of course many people advising women to just stay home. I just wanted to get the point across that I've made my decision that in my trucking adventure, I was set on my path.

Hey Kid , and no disrespect there , my daughter is your age , first you are not making a mistake , I mean that , your new , and you sound confident , but nervous , you already signed up , and CRST is not bad they are one of the fairest for new drivers , taking your fiancé , bad move , husband yes , but kid you have your doubts don't u , so don't do what is best for both , right now it's you , take the best for you and you only , he too. I say that because you might go your separate ways if that happens then your safe , so team ? Maybe you both going with trainers at first will give you time to think , but your in a great occupation , I have a house , Harley's , nice car , and a well fed family , even though my son is active duty military the Feds feed him , LMFAO , keep your head up , go get em kid !!!
