The newness of the conviction will be a barrier. You are not blown out of the water completely, just significantly delayed. In most cases, there is a five year lapse between your conviction date and hire eligibility.
As said above, time is all you have right now. Blow doesn't have nearly the addiction potential that crank does, so it should be fairly easy for you to leave it alone. Keep your eye on the ball, and when the time is right, you will have had enough time to save your pennies and nickles for a privately run CDL school and you will not be beholden to a trucking company to work off a debt.
That said. Keep your ear to the ground. There is a possibility a company exists that will overlook this recent conviction. This makes it tougher for you, but you will appreciate the job you get all that much more for the effort it took to get it.
