thanx all, thats what i was hoping to hear. went today to edwardsville oc and met my recruiter and he gave us a tour of facility and a lil insight of what to expect. good guy all around and dont feel i was fed alot of bs. he told me answers to questions and concerns and did not one time answer to benefit my desires. was very straight forward and i was very pleased. i hope the rest of the schneider corporation is even half that straight forward. if so i can honestly see a long future for me here. thank you all for the help and encouragement. greatly appreciated and come tuesday ill be hittin the schneider books.

I really only know what I have read on this site, however, it seems to me that any decent company would do their best to honor a request such as this. Particularly if requested politely, professionally and enough in advance.

Were a company to refuse or ignore a special request such as this, it would seem to speak volumes about that company and what you can likely expect by continuing there. :biggrin_25513:

On the other hand, if they did in fact help to make it happen, that too would speak volumes about the company. :biggrin_25514:

Congratulations, Good luck and let us know how it all works out.

newbie917: upon receiving your Dm. tell them right up you are willing to stay out till this time but you would really appreciate if he/she could get you home for this and explain your situation. if you put in your home time request right out of the box you should have no problem getting home. but remember if you want home on the 19th you tell them the 18th one day for travel time. this way getting home anytime on the 18th means you don't miss a thing.

bingo! i learned this trick pretty early. all it takes is one multi-hour problem at a customer and one blown tire and you're getting home a day late, and it's really nobody's fault.
