Well......:biggrin_2558:Don't put your blinders on and limit yourself.....I've been doing this awile and you don't need limitations...GET YOUR CLASS " A " and then if you just want to do trucking in class B trucks that's O.K. , however if you get in a bind you can always drive class A ....and then switch back and forth dependent on your hometime needs....:biggrin_25519:JUST A THOUGHT !!!!

Go for class A.Don't limit yourself to just one class of vehicle.I have class A,27 years.I have had different jobs in trucking over the years, mainly class A, it pays better.I have hazmat, doubles and triples endorsements which have helped secure more opportunities when looking for new work.I drove a dumptruck for awhile, class B.I also had friends that drove tour buses in the entertainment industry, class B.Trucking as whole has many possibilites and is a varied industry. It's what you what, after you gain experience.I left OTR after13 years to be closer to home.My late Uncle Pat drove OTR until he died. It's your choice. Some like longhaul, some like, local. There is good money to be made in trucking, but do the research before you jump into a job or contract. In regards to DOT physical, employers do not have the right to this info other than you passed or failed. If you have a condition,be it mental or physical and can be helped by medication your DOT card will expire earlier than the normal 2 years. You can go to the goverment website for more info.Good luck
