What Is the paper work about? Between the app @ the papers they have you sign it's not hard to miss checking a box or signing something. Heck I had to track down my drivers license number for a state I lived in 2 years ago . Just make sure to fill in all the blanks . Driving test - consists of a trip around the block and backing it up into a box, Not sure what happens if you fail, might want to ask about that before you get there.
" Money - People do get raises , Wanna say after 90 days for the 1st one but I could be wrong" You get four raises in your first 6 months so you aren't at $.25/mile very long. I'm not saying the money is great, just that you are only at $.25/mile for a few weeks.
I'm driving my car to orientation in Atlanta, question is if everything works out and when I go solo do i we not drive our trucks home,if so how do I get my car back to my home?
i am just so glad i didnt go with swift..i have a friend that went with him ...he is not happy at all....but i am pleased with my decision with leaving orientation in atlanta and going with the company i am with now....swift needs to quit lying to everyone when they say "best in class"...but they are certainly in a "class of their own"...a class that no other trucking company wants to be in...but good luck swift drivers ...i will wave at yall when i pass yall on the road ...when yall are moving at the speed of smell and earning .25 a mile..that aint but 15.50 an hour if your able to keep it at 62 for an hour...at least the company i went with starts newbies out at .32 per mile and gives REGULAR raises..but i aint a company driver...
I just went thru orientation at my new company. On the bus ride, there were several Swift wannabees going into Memphis. My company is advancing me $200 a week while I drive and train 1:1 with an instructor, then go back and get my A-CDL. THEN, go back out for 30,000 and make $600 a week. THEN, once on the road, I think we start at around .32 a mile and that was recently increased. I don't think the Swifties believed me, but, believe me, my company rocks!
