why would they want to stop it? they take care of their own personal interests. fluorishing american oil companies means more $$$$$ to line their pockets. and the fact that strong domestic production gives us all kinds of leverage abroad.

the reason we don't drill on federal land is a very good one. they're national parks. it will be a sad day when america's breathtaking national parks are whored out to the almighty dollar and turned into polluted wasteland. there's simply no need to drill in national parks. we're doing just fine producing what we're getting from private land the US is on pace to become the #1 oil and gas producer in the world soon, without having to destroy any of our pristine national treasures. the surge in natural gS production will soon bring a manufacturing revival back to our shores. no credible politician is going to vote against bringing millions of jobs back from overseas. nome of them truly care about the emvironment that much. unemployment will always be the more important issue. especially because even of the US went completely green and outlawed oil altogether (lol) it wouldnt do any good because the world's worst polluters are growing rapidly and polluting more and more day by day

Read those facts very carefully... the federal government controls more of the mineral rights than the land...

Your argument is flawed, as the federal government has crashed the US oil market before, and will again, in the name of protecting the public. Same way they have destroyed the coal industry... via regulations.

TLeaHeart is 100% correct. Very little Federal land has anything to do with parks. A huge portion has been grabbed or had status changed by Clinton and the other Commie O Bama to satisfy their green fanatics. Vernal UT used to be booming oil. Not so much now. Rifle CO. Same. Rifle was on some park land and they did very good job of protecting. Used to deliver there. Had to have permits, escorts, etc to make sure you didn't pull normal slob truck driver stuff and make mess. No one is proposing drilling on visitor area of Old Faithful. These are out of the way areas that WE own. More than a nut job bunch should have a say on how they are used. If the oil companies should damage them by all means hammer them.

 

You could work McDonalds or WalMart and beat most training OTR. Lot more in Midland.

 

nope, just have to find a company that will hire you... got 6 months, many water haulers will hire you.

 

I think anyone could land a job in the Midland/Odessa/Big Lake area within the first week. You might have to camp in your car but you wont freeze. Even if you come broke theres a Labor ready to hold you over till a job calls. Most jobs require a cdl but its the tanker jobs that want the OTR experience. You could still haul generators, trash trailers, spools of poly, gel, backhoe, etc. You could also operate a dozer/loader/grader. Major construction projects all over this area. Most pipeliners are making over 2k a week. Bring the ol lady too because as said earlier Mc D's and Walmart start out around 14hr checkers 18hr. Mollie maid i think my ol lady said 18hr.

And if your a sand Duner like myself Kermit is like a glamis bring the sand toys.
