Last Monday I was coming out of the Love's at Toomsuba. The lot exits onto a short stretch of 2 lane leading to the interstate overpass. I met an incoming dry van hauler.... who was straddling the center line. WTF???

The rig stops dead about 5 ft from my truck and this "lady" hops out and starts ordering me to "Back up so I can get past". Say what now??? Remember now, this is a standard width truck/trailer, not a wide load or anything. While she's flapping her arms and screaming at me, a trooper rolls up behind her and walks up to see what's going on.

She's ranting at him now how I'm being a Pr--k and blocking her from the truckstop, etc, etc. There are now 2 other trucks behind me. She tells him that the road isn't wide enough, that she can't see the passenger side and she's scared of rolling into the ditch and wrecking.... on her first solo trip. By this point she's near hysterics so LEO walks her back to his car "to calm down". He walks back and hops into her truck briefly. Walks over to me with 3 pill bottles in his hand and asks me to move her truck out of the way please. Geez, she's right, she can't see out her pass side... because all the mirrors are pointing in different directions and none show the trailer. Locked it and gave him the keys. He said by the look of the bottles it would be awhile before she went anyplace in it.

Dunno how it turned out for her. But I doubt if her first solo would be a success.:biggrin_25513:

No idea. Possible, I suppose, that she may have been so stressed/preoccupied that she missed taking meds for a condition or the wrong dosage or something. Or maybe had a reaction to an energy drink? I dunno. She sure was acting wired tho.

Anyroads, I'm just happy LEO got her out of the truck for awhile safely.
