your leaving out a feew simple details, you don't simply hire on at UPS and drive a semi, you start at the bottom and work your way up. I know guys with CDL A's and exp. who still had to start near the bottom and work their way up. It can take 10+ year to get to that $100K mark.
rocknroll nik, groovemachine and lupe Thank this. -
Just start a thread and change it to 35K,
the server may take a dump !!!!!! -
ups is definetly a 100k job, a friend of mine works there, the low man on the board still clears 80k there.
BUT, in the northeast, or in the buffalo area at least, there is nothing contractually forcing the company to add spots to the seniority list as business increases. so you have a fixed board with only so many bids. my friend got lucky, and got hired on right when a few guys retired, over 12 years ago. he told me that the guy that hired on after him, just within a few months from what i understand, is STILL ON THE CASUAL BOARD!! its still an ok job being a casual for ups, but it has to suck being on call without a bid for 12+ years! -
LTL drivers are insane, they earn that 100K.
already gone Thanks this. -

How much experience do you need to be able to apply for the UPS job? What are the odds of you getting the job? What should you do to increase your odds? Do you need to know someone in the UPS for connections?
